Conejo Business Services ("we", "us") provides bookkeeping services. Our owner also owns Conejo Tax Service, a tax-preparation business, which we call our sister business. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, how we protect it and how long we keep it.

Information we collect

We collect your name and contact details; identifying details such as your date of birth and, if you choose to give it, your Social Security number; details about your business; your bank and credit card statements and the transactions in them; and your billing details. We get this information from you, and from your bank if you choose to connect your accounts to us.

How we use it

We use your information to do your bookkeeping, to contact you, to bill you, and to meet our legal obligations. We also use the records we hold to check and improve our work.

Who can see it

Only these people can see your information: our staff; the staff of Conejo Tax Service, because the two businesses have the same owner and share client records; and the outside companies whose services we use to run our business, such as the companies that host our website and systems, provide our email, connect your bank accounts, process your payments and supply our software.

We never sell or rent your information. We share it with anyone else only when you ask us to, or when required to by law.

How we protect it

Your records are kept on private systems that are closed to the public. Anything sent to or from this website or servers travels over an encrypted connection.

How long we keep it

We keep your records while you are a client and for at least three years after our work for you ends, so we can answer questions about the work we did.

This website

We do not use advertising or tracking tools on this website. If you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in. As with any website, the companies that host this website and supply its fonts receive your device's internet address when you visit.
